20-year-old killed in Montgomery Fourth of July shooting

Following a fatal shooting in Montgomery on July 4th, an investigation is still underway.

At 6:21 p.m. on Friday, police and fire medics were called to a reported shooting.

According to Montgomery police Lt. David Wise on Monday, they arrived to discover 20-year-old La Byrion Caffey deceased at the site.

According to Wise, Caffey’s death is being looked into as a homicide. No other information was made public.
