Millbrook, AL – June 5, 2025 – The Millbrook Area Chamber of Commerce (MACC) hosted its highly anticipated 2025 Business of the Year Awards Luncheon at the Fieldhouse at 17 Springs, bringing together more than 200 business leaders, elected officials, and community members to honor outstanding achievements in the local business community.
The annual luncheon celebrates businesses and individuals who exemplify excellence, innovation, and dedication to the Millbrook area. The event began with an invocation by Pastor Joey Byrd of Victory Baptist Church, followed by the presentation of colors by the Stanhope Elmore High School JROTC under the direction of CSM Nathanial Bartee. Millbrook City Council President Michael Gay then led attendees in the Pledge of Allegiance.
Elmore County Superintendent Richard Dennis addressed the crowd, highlighting the Chamber’s strong partnership with the school system. He expressed gratitude for MACC’s support of the Child Nutrition Program and the Junior Ambassador Program and recognized the many local businesses who have championed educational initiatives over the past year.
MACC President & CEO Brenda Dennis presented several special recognitions, including an award of appreciation to outgoing Junior Ambassador Chair Ashley Williams of Pest Pro Services, and a gift of thanks to outgoing Board Chair Steve Mullis of Liveoak Agency. She also acknowledged dedicated behind-the-scenes volunteers Rosalee Wade and Brenda Kelley for their continued service.
District Court Judge Ben Baxley was invited to announce the 2025 Ambassador of the Year, awarding Stephanie Owens of Alabama ONE Credit Union for her outstanding service and dedication to the Chamber.
Millbrook Mayor Al Kelley officiated the induction of the 2025–2026 MACC Board of Directors. Leading the Board is incoming Chair Cadi Mills of Garner Electric, along with Vice Chair James Sanders of F&E Sportswear, Penny Nichols of Advanced Appraisal Services, and Steve Mullis of Liveoak Agency.
