For its 2026 recruiting class, Alabama football drew one of Mississippi’s top recruits. On Friday, Picayune Memorial defensive lineman Nolan Wilson told Rivals that he had committed to the Crimson Tide.
According to 247Sports composite rankings, Wilson is a four-star recruit. He is ranked by the service as the sixth-best defensive lineman in the nation and the 58th-best player overall in the 2026 class.
Cooper Petagna, a national recruiting analyst for 247Sports, described Wilson as a long and agile defensive end who exhibits a high degree of untapped athleticism off the edge as a pass rusher within his scouting report. Wilson is primarily used in an odd front as a five technique, but he can also use his first step agility and athleticism to his advantage off the line of scrimmage. He can also bump inside situationally.
The Magnolia State player, who presently weighs about 240 pounds, will need to put on a substantial amount of weight at the next level in order to continue developing his play strength at the point of attack.
The 6-foot-4 Wilson was presented with offers from Auburn, Florida, Ole Miss, and Miami, but ultimately decided to Alabama. He joined the Tide’s 2026 recruiting class as the 18th player.
For a portion of the offseason, UA trailed its typical position in the recruiting rankings, but by mid-June, it had gained significant momentum. So far, the Tide has drawn one of the top ten classes in the country.
