A Justice Department employee was fired Thursday after being arrested for tossing a sandwich at a federal law enforcement officer on Sunday night, Attorney General Pam Bondi announced.

According to court filings made on Wednesday, police claim that Sean Charles Dunn confronted law enforcement officials, including U.S. Customs and Border Protection and Metro Transit Police, and started calling them fascists and hurling profanities.

The federal court document said that Dunn went up to an officer and tossed a sandwich at him at approximately 11:05 p.m. He was accused of assaulting, obstructing, or resisting certain US officers and workers.

Dunn allegedly informed one of the arresting officers, “I did it,” after being taken into custody. I tossed a sandwich.

In a video released on X Wednesday afternoon, U.S. attorney Jeanine Pirro of the District of Columbia said Dunn would face felony charges.

A spokesman for the D.C. office of the U.S. attorney said Dunn is 37 and resides in the District.

Dunn could not be reached for comment by the Washington Post right away.
