Philip Blidi, a former Auburn defensive tackle, was waived by the Tennessee Titans on Sunday.
After being passed over in the 2025 draft, Blidi signed a contract with the NFL franchise on May 9.
Blidi did not play in Friday night’s 23–20 preseason victory against the Atlanta Falcons, although he did play 12 defensive snaps in the Titans’ 29–7 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on August 9.
Blidi attended Auburn for one season. The defensive lineman played in 12 games for the Tigers in 2024, including seven starts, and recorded 21 tackles, one sack, and one fumble recovery.
Blidi played at Texas Tech from 2020 to 2022 and Indiana in 2023 before to joining Auburn.
The Titans play the Minnesota Vikings in their last preseason game on Friday before facing the Denver Broncos on September 7 to begin the regular season.
