In addition to giving James Smith a positive injury update, Alabama defensive coordinator Kane Wommack also gave some encouraging evaluations.
During Tuesday’s media view time, Smith, who missed both of the two scrimmages due to an unexplained ailment, was observed working out.
Wommack stated on Wednesday that James is performing admirably. After being dinged up there for a few days, it has recovered well. had essentially hit every marker he needs to. The other day, we got him back on the field. He had a new appearance. new legs. What a havoc-style player he is. I’m thrilled about how we’re going to use him in the backfield because he can create and generate a lot of havoc there.
In his third season with the team, Smith is expected to start as a defensive lineman for the Crimson Tide. A season ago, Smith, a Carver High School player, participated in all 13 games. In the end, he recorded one sack, two pass breakups, and twenty tackles.
Smith is most likely to take Tim Smith’s place in the starting lineup. Tim Keenan III and LT Overton, the other two returning starters, are expected to return to their positions.
