A conservative Christian college has come under fire for associating wokeness with the new Cracker Barrel logo.
The same fervor, Hillsdale College in Michigan posted alongside images of a George Washington statue that was vandalized with red paint in 2020 and the contentious new emblem.
Uncle Herschel and the iconic brown and yellow barrel were eliminated from the Cracker Barrel emblem, which the conservative liberal arts college claimed was undermining tradition.
According to the college’s X account, some people enjoy Cracker Barrel in the same manner that others enjoy pizza, mayo, and practicing law.

Donald Trump Jr. and a number of conservative influencers were among the MAGA crowd’s outspoken critics of Cracker Barrel’s modifications, arguing that the Tennessee restaurant, which is famed for its country cooking, had become more progressive.
The tweet from Hillsdale College drew criticism.
One commenter said, “I don’t understand why any parent would want to send their child to your school.” At least they would learn everything there is to know about idolatry.
Another said, “Cracker Barrel’s sterilization of their logo was dumb, but it isn’t woke.” Can we stop giving everything that label? If this continues, the word will become meaningless.
In 2020, red paint was used to deface the George Washington memorial located in northwest Baltimore’s Druid Hill Park.Additionally, the initials for the Black Lives Matter organization and the slogan “Destroy Racists” were inscribed on the base.
