The son of former UFC light heavyweight champion Rampage Jackson, Raja Jackson, gained notoriety for reportedly attacking a professional wrestler during a fight.
In a post on Xas, Rampage, 47, whose real name is Quinton, expressed regret on behalf of his son and verified that Smith was now stable and conscious.
Rampage Jackson, 47, wrote on social media that just before Smith’s bout, he unexpectedly struck Raja in the side of the head. I assumed it was part of the performance when Raja was told he could have his revenge in the ring. It was poor decision-making and a poorly executed piece of work.
The match was not featured in this page because to its violent nature, but it is available on social media.
Rampage Jackson went on to say that Raja has no business participating in an event of this nature because he is an MMA fighter and not a professional wrestler. I absolutely do not support my son’s behavior! He had no business making any kind of physical contact after suffering a concussion during sparring just a few days prior.
As a father, I’m really worried about both Mr. Smith’s health and wellbeing. Although I’m very sorry that any of this occurred, my first priority right now is for Mr. Smith to recover quickly.
At the Knokx Pro Wrestling event in Los Angeles on Saturday, 25-year-old MMA fighter Raja Jackson seemed to knock down independent wrestler Stuart Smith, also known as Syko Stu, before repeatedly striking him in the head.
Kick, a streaming service, captured the event in real time.
After the incident, Smith was reportedly taken to the hospital with severe injuries.
