Alabama football has new sideline reporter for radio broadcasts in 2025

This season, Alabama football will have a new sideline reporter.

Play-by-play commentator Chris Stewart revealed on Wednesday during Hey Coach that former Alabama linebacker Cory Reamer will be doing sideline work for the Crimson Tide Sports Network this season.

Damion Square, a former defensive tackle for Alabama who joined the West Alabama coaching staff to serve under Scott Cochran for 2025, is replaced by Reamer.

Reamer, a native of Hoover, played for Alabama, which defeated Texas to win the 2009 national title.

On the broadcasts, he joins Stewart, analyst Tyler Watts, engineer Tom Stipe, and in-game host Roger Hoover.

In recent years, Alabama’s sideline reporter position has undergone various changes. Former Alabama running back Damien Harris was supposed to fill the position before Square did. He then accepted a position at CBS Sports. Christian Miller, a former linebacker, held the position before to that.

Coach Nick Saban praised Reamer after he had a strong night on special teams for Alabama against Ole Miss in 2009.

Reamerin (2009) stated, “He’s played a lot of good football for us over the last two years for a guy that was a safety that, to be honest, I didn’t know if he’d ever play here.” He has significantly improved his game, particularly now that his role has grown.
