Auburn football practiced Thursday morning to wrap out its third week of fall camp.

AL.com concentrated on monitoring the quarterbacks throughout the media viewing period.

In the little less than an hour that we had to watch practice, Auburn ran two drills, one of which was the redzone lockout exercise, in which the cornerbacks and wide receivers faced off one on one.

Here is what we observed:

Auburn practice observations: Quarterbacks

— Reporters got a little preview of the Tigers’ 12th session, which began at 10:30 a.m. and ended at 11:20 p.m.

— For both drills, the quarterback rotation demonstratedJackson Arnold in the starting squad.Ashton Daniels runs with the third team, while Deuce Knight is with the second team representatives.

Each quarterback alternated with the wide receivers and running backs in a throwing skeleton during the first drill.

In his three series, Arnold’s main goal was to make connections on screen passes and slant routes.

Knight found Cam Coleman on a deep post across the middle of the field, and his series saw him strike additional downfield targets.

Daniels finished the drill with a great deep throw to Brandon Fraizer on the sidelines after being given the seam and slot routes to the tight ends.

— The most exciting aspect of Thursday’s practice was drill two, which was the redzone lockdown.

— Arnold began the drill by locating a slant path for Horatio Fieldson. Coleman was on a fade route in the endzone corner when his second throw went awry.

On his first throw, Knight found Frazier for a back-shoulder reception in the end zone. On a slant, he missed Duke Smith the second time.

— Daniels overthrew both receivers at the back of the endzone on his first two throws, failing to connect.

— Hugh Freeze, the coach of Auburn, became irritated with his starting quarterback during Arnold’s second round of the practice.

On his following two throws, Arnold held the ball for too long, which resulted in incompletions. Freeze shouted Before Arnold found Fields on a slant route to cap his series, get the ball in the end zone.

Knight wasted a huge opportunity. The second series of Bryce Cainto begins. He completed his outstanding day at wideout by finding Fields across the back of the endzone.

On his second series, Daniels found Duke Smith on consecutive throws, getting the ball out faster.

— Arnold gave Malcom Simmons a tight spiral in the endzone corner to end the practice session.
