Montgomery’s Celebration of Independence Day

Montgomery, AlabamaOn Thursday, July 4, from 8:00 PM to 9:30 PM, the City of Montgomery cordially invites locals and guests to join them for a joyous and patriotic Independence Day Celebration at Riverfront Park. The 151st Alabama Army National Guard Band will perform live at this free, family-friendly event, which will be followed by a breathtaking fireworks show over the Alabama River.

Visitors are urged to arrive early to provide time for security processing, since gates will open at 7:00 PM. One adult per four minor children (those aged 17 and under) is needed for everyone’s safety, and clear baggage are necessary for faster entrance. In order to comfortably enjoy the performance, attendees are also encouraged to bring lawn chairs.

The 151st Band, renowned for their stirring performances of modern songs and patriotic favorites, will kick off the evening’s festivities at 8:00 PM. A spectacular fireworks display will light up the night sky as the celebration reaches a crescendo as the band fills the amphitheater with song.

Popcorn, snow cones, and fresh lemonade are just a few of the summertime treats that local food sellers will be serving during the evening’s festivities.
