Country music star cancels shows to heal ‘mind, body and heart’

Sometimes you just need to apply the brakes, even if your dreams are coming true as quickly as you can imagine them.

This seems to be one of those moments for Ella Langley, a Hope Hull native who has seen a meteoric rise to fame in the country music industry in the past year. She said on Instagram Monday morning that she needed to take a break in order to care for her heart, mind, and body.

The complete message:

It makes me very sad to post this. The last few weeks have been difficult. I feel more exhausted than ever and have been battling illness. I’ve decided, after much consideration, to take a few weeks off and concentrate on my physical, mental, and emotional well-being. I know that I can’t be totally present for all of the moments that lie ahead until I take care of myself first.

When our emotions and bodies urge us to slow down, we sometimes have to pay attention. Your love and understanding mean the world to me, and I am incredibly thankful for them.

All of you who are tired and burdened should come to me, and I will rest you. Matthew 11:28

She would miss performances with Morgan Wallen on August 15 and 16, an appearance at The Listening Room in Nashville on August 19, and her appearances as a guest on Wallen’s tour in Montana, Idaho, and Colorado on August 21, 22, 23, and 25 with fellow Alabama singer Riley Green, the letter continued.

Langley said, “I’ll be back on the road in September, ready to give you my all.”

You Look Like You Love Me by Riley Green helped Langley’s 2024 album Hungover become an award-winning hit. She has been making new music while still touring in support of the new album. She collaborated with Hardy on the tune “Never Met Anyone Like You,” which was released in late June, and last week she revealed a teaser for Hell at Night, an upcoming single with Texas rapper BigXthaPlug.
