WETUMPKA, ALABAMA (June 6, 2025) — Downtown Wetumpka is bursting with color, thanks to the seasonal planting efforts of the City’s dedicated Public Works Department. Fresh blooms line the streets, vibrant planters welcome visitors at every corner, and the heart of the city has transformed into a stunning destination that reflects the community’s pride and progress.

Main Street Wetumpka is recognizing both the natural beauty and the tremendous growth of downtown with a seasonal message: “Wetumpka in Full Bloom.” This theme captures more than the flowers, it symbolizes the revitalization, momentum, and spirit that have taken root in recent years.

“The City’s Public Works team goes above and beyond every year, but this season’s blooms are truly breathtaking,” said Haley N. Greene, Executive Director of Main Street Wetumpka. “We’re incredibly grateful for their hard work and dedication. It’s their behind-the-scenes efforts that create the vibrant, welcoming atmosphere that makes our downtown so special.”

In recent years, Wetumpka has blossomed through new businesses, community-driven projects, public art, and a renewed energy that’s drawing attention across the region. Downtown is not just growing, it’s thriving.

“Wetumpka is in full bloom, and it’s a direct reflection of the passion our team puts into their work,” said Mayor Jerry Willis. “Every flower planted is a sign of progress, and this level of beauty doesn’t happen by accident. It’s the result of a talented team that loves their city and takes pride in making it shine.”

Residents and visitors alike are encouraged to enjoy all that downtown Wetumpka now offers, strolling through flower-lined sidewalks, browsing unique local shops, dining at locally owned restaurants, and exploring the art, history, and charm that make the downtown district a true gem.
