The NFL preseason’s first week is over, and teams have a good idea of who their starters and depth players will be going into the regular season. The New York Jets and New York Giants will play their yearly preseason game on Saturday.
Since both teams use the same stadium, the Giants will officially be the home team for this year’s matchup. Adding Russell Wilson, Jameis Winston, and Jaxson Dart to their quarterback room, the Giants have had a busy offseason. The Giants are attempting to return to the playoffs as soon as possible and regain their competitiveness after a 3–14 finish in 2024.
With a 5-12 record the previous season, the Jets didn’t do much better. The Jets are past the Aaron Rodgers era and have moved on to Justin Fields following a regime change that included the hiring of Aaron Glenn as head coach. With their roster, the Jets hope to make the playoffs as well.
