The July 4th Barbecue hosted by the Millbrook Men’s Club is fully booked!
The morning crew took over for sales and pickup after the cooking staff worked through the night. “This morning’s work was quick,” Millbrook Mayor Al Kelley said.
“Everything is sold out!” he exclaimed.
The club has started accepting preorders for its camp stew, chicken halves, and bulk meat in recent years. They also sold Boston Butts this year. Best wishes for a successful sell-out!
The entire amount of money raised at this event is reinvested in the neighborhood. Long before Millbrook was officially recognized as a city, the Millbrook Men’s Club was established in 1941 and played a significant role in the development of the area’s infrastructure and advancements.
Members that volunteered and participated in this year’s event, such as Troop 19, Troop 191, SEHS Baseball, and the SEHS Fishing Team, are especially appreciated by the Men’s Club.
