Municipal elections are coming soon for positions such as Mayor and City/Town Councils.
We have already had inquiries as to who is running for area Mayor and Council. However, qualifying for municipal elections does not officially open until June 10, 2025. Candidates can pick up forms from their particular municipal clerk.
The last day to qualify to run for a municipal office is at 5 p.m. June 24, 2025.
The election will be held on August 26, with polls open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. that day.
If you plan to be a candidate for public office in the upcoming election, the EAN will run one FREE announcement, submitted by the candidate, along with a photo of the candidate’s choice. Please include your qualifications to run, and why you want to serve in that capacity.
We will not begin running those announcements until the candidates have officially qualified.
