Target and Warby Parker, a well-known eyeglass retailer, are planning to create storefronts within the department stores.
According to a news release announcing the relationship, Warby Parker in Target shops will provide eye exams, vision tests, glasses, contact lenses, and sunglasses. Warby Parker staffers will work in the first five stores, which are scheduled to debut this year.
Offerings from Warby Parker at Target will also be accessible online. In 2026, additional shop-in-shops will open following the initial five.
In a press release, Christina Hennington, executive vice president and chief strategy and growth officer at Target, stated, “We have long provided our guests with well-designed products at a value, and our latest shop-in-shop partnership with Warby Parker continues that tradition.” Target’s Warby Parker embodies both brands’ dedication to convenience, quality, affordability, and style.
The first five Warby Parker at Target locations are scheduled to debut in the second half of 2025, while the agreement was announced in February.
Dave Gilboa, a co-founder of Warby Parker, stated in the press release that the company’s goal has been to give vision for everyone since the beginning. Meeting eyewear customers where and how they prefer to purchase is a significant component of that commitment, and for many of our customers, it means shopping at Target.
Target’s current eyewear division, Target Optical, which provides eye tests, glasses, and contact lenses at more than 500 Target stores nationwide, is expected to be enhanced by Warby Parker at Target. Stores that do not carry Target Optical products will house Warby Parker in Target locations.
The retail behemoth’s collaboration with Ulta Beauty, a cosmetics retailer, is coming to an end. The two businesses declared earlier this month that they would terminate their shop-in-shop collaboration when their current contract expires in August 2026.
According to CNBC, Target and Ulta have opened shop-in-shops at over 600 locations since their relationship began in 2021.
The following locations will carry Warby Parker at Target in 2025:
-
Willowbrook, Ill.
-
Bloomington, Minn.
-
Brick, N.J.
-
Columbus, Ohio (Polaris)
-
Exton, Pa.
