The Summer I Turned Pretty, for those who haven’t seen it, is a television version of Jenny Han’s trilogy of YA adult novels. It centers on Isabel Belly Conklin (Lola Tung), who is involved in a romantic triangle with two brothers, Conrad (Christopher Briney) and Jeremiah Fisher (Gavin Casalegno).
Belly, her brother Steven (Sean Kaufman), and mother Laurel (Jackie Chung) go to Cousins Beach every summer to spend the whole season with her mother’s best friend Susannah Fisher (Rachel Blanchard) and her two boys, Conrad and Jeremiah.
Between her initial love, Conrad, and Jeremiah, a love she never anticipated, Belly is caught between contradictory emotions and constantly changing interpersonal dynamics.

At the conclusion of her junior year in college, Belly is looking forward to spending another summer in Cousins with her sweetheart, Jeremiah, as the third season begins. Before certain life-altering circumstances bring her first love, Conrad, back into her life, her future appears to be set.
