From the Law of Alabama
Law Enforcement Organization
Montgomery In cooperation with the Alabama Attorney General’s Office and several local law enforcement agencies, Special Agents from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) carried out search warrants at multiple retail establishments in Troy, Enterprise, Clanton, and Wetumpka on Monday, June 23.
Following multiple complaints about specific cannabidiol (CBD) specialty stores and vape shops breaking long-standing marijuana prohibitions, an investigation that lasted several months culminated in this operation. Large quantities of marijuana and drug paraphernalia were found during the search warrants, and they are presently being inventoried.
The Alabama Attorney General’s Office and ALEA would like to extend a warm invitation to you to attend a press conference scheduled for Friday, June 27 at 9 a.m. to share more information. The press conference will take place in the Multipurpose Room of the Alabama Attorney General’s Office.
